Chattri War Memorial
« on: August 27, 2021, 09:19:35 PM »
Today we trudged across fields to visit the Chattri War Memorial, just North of Brighton, which is in memory of Indian soldiers who served and died in the First World war.

This short video explains how it came into being:

Interresting. I would certainly have visited if I'd known of its existence during my years in Brighton and East Sussex.
Ah, but I was so much older then ... I'm younger than that now

It's one of those unlikely, unusual places that you don't really expect. At least not in Sussex!
