55 years since launch of the QE2

I have very vague memories of this back when the Clyde was  still busy with shipbuilding.

I remember seeing this being built - I was 15 in August 1967 and in spite of being forcefully kidnapped by my father, after he remarried, and being forced to live in England (St Albans to be precise), I was allowed to return home to my late mother's family during the summer of 1967, and I remember one of my uncles taking me to see the QE2 as it neared completion - it was quite a sight!

As an aside, in early 1970, when I was still 17, I bravely escaped and returned home for good - and I'm still here!
