I've never seen 'The Inbetweeners'. I did watch and enjoy 'Friday Night Dinner', but when I read about it on Wikipedia, I got a touch confused. It said that the mother was played by Tamsin Greig, whom I remember, but in that case, who did Rebecca Front play, and why wasn't she mentioned? Turned out I was confusing it with 'Grandma's House', another middle-class Jewish family sitcom, which I also enjoyed.
I came to realise that every time we recognise something human in creatures, we are also recognising something creaturely in ourselves. That is central to the rejection of human supremacism as the pernicious doctrine it is.
