Both purple and blue categories were guesses based on word similarity. Not helped by the American usage in purple, which overall I thought was a bit naff.

I hadn't either. I didn't even get that it was whales. I just got the blues as possible adjectives and the purples as nouns. And a spatula doesn't have slots, unless you're American and apparently using a fish slice.

Really? I'd heard of both right whales and fin whales. Slightly put off by the American spelling of "grey".

Purple was poor. I know "slot" is an American contraction of "slot machine" but spatulas are not things I think of as having slots. I suppose they can have.
