Slightly surprised by one of the green answers, which uses a British word for which there's an American equivalent.

When we are all done, somebody is going to have to explain three of the four yellows to me. I totally fluked that colour.

Presuming the 3 yellows are bacon - bringing home the bacon, lettuce - one of a number of green veg slang including cabbage and kale as representing 'greenbacks' US dollars, and used in Guys and Dolls.
Cheese I didn't know but is apparently because food parcels in the US given out as assistance had cheese in them, and cheddar is also used.

Having said that, I guessed at it being sandwich related.

I also thought the purple category a bit dubious.
