The Mail isn't questioning the science. No one working for the Mail was alive at the time of 'Hurrah for the Blackshirts', and I doubt anyone commenting was old enough to read it.

I should have said its readers, rather than the Mail itself, but in general the Hate-Mail hasn't changed much since the 30s.
