1st man on the moon
« on: July 22, 2024, 12:39:12 PM »
Yesterday I celebrated my birthday and I realized that it was 55 years since I watched Neil Armstrong step on the moon on our then b&w TV. What an achievment for technology of the day. I feel old.
I have an infinite number of belief systems cos there are an infinite number of things I don't believe in.

I respect your right to believe whatever you want. I don't have to respect your beliefs.

Happy Birthday, Splash.

Join the club - I was just 16 back then (sigh).

It was really early on my birthday and we managed to stay up (with naps). At least I got a present early  ;D

I was 5 but was woken up for it. I don't think I was that impressed at the time but it is amazing.

Any advance on 18?
I came to realise that every time we recognise something human in creatures, we are also recognising something creaturely in ourselves. That is central to the rejection of human supremacism as the pernicious doctrine it is.

I was 19 and remember the moon landing very well. :) The following month my husband and I tied the knot.

Is that the moon landing or your wedding you are talking about ?  ;)
