Though not on their complicitness on child abuse, perhaps what he meant to say was that the Church no longer had enough ministers prepared to teach children to run fast to try and get away from being beaten and raped.

Very amusing.

There are very many things you might want to blame the CofE for ... but kids being overweight really isn't one of them. But it just goes to show that things haven't changed - whatever comes out of Boris' mouth is usually dross.
