Comedian Lee Nelson invaded Kanye West's set and Glastonbury. Is this just the usual Young English Person's inability to control oneself when in large groups or what?
-
I haven't seen the set, so don't know the exact circumstances, but with so many acts inviting other people on-stage during their sets, are you sure it was an 'invasion' and not a carefully pre-planned invitation?
-
Lee Nelson felt a little funny? What did his manager have to say about that?

Considering just how many people have objected to Mr West being there at all, I'm surprised that only one person invaded the stage.
-
Never mind the comedian, if you're a fan, Kanye was what I thought he would be - electrifying, powerful, and surprisingly lyrical. Too much auto-tune for me, but it is plaintive. 30 tracks in the set also, with no dancers, gimmicks, fluffy bunnies.
-
What a great way for both to get headliners, no ?!!?!?!?!?
-

Apparently he told Lee to get on stage before it wore off.

Are you trying to set a record for telling the same not very fuuny joke over and over again.

It's a form of performance art
-
Art, not really.
A performance, certainly.

Pete Townseend's comments show just what a few performers thought of Mr West's announcement that he was the greatest star on the planet!
How far up himself can Mr West get!

Seem to remember that Mr Townsend wasn't averse to making similar claims in the past - not to mention the likes of John Lennon. It's just par for the course, Nat.

John Lennon was speaking for the Beatles as a group and Kanye West has got a million miles to go before he gets within a million miles of being as big as the Beatles - Pete Townsend I don't know about, not that much of a fan.

I ain't a fan of Mr West, but I think that there are those in the music industry who might regard him as on a par with the Beatles. That's a highly subjective judgement.

What is a highly subjective judgement. Isn't that the same as 'very unique'?

So much for the love of money being the root of all evil and selling everything you have and giving the proceeds to the poor! ::)

What a pathetic attempt to score a point, on the back of a joke inter-change. Bit of a laugh, though, you quoting Scripture; and you being such a philanthropic type!! ::)

Well, I suppose there's no accounting for taste, but I'm surprised to hear such a positive judgment from you, wiggi.
Yea, I'd electrify the bugger. Heard and saw his rendition of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody on the Internet yesterday. I'd been told by a friend that he was dire, but I wasn't prepared for just how dreadful. The man is tone-deaf, and couldn't sing a melody to save his life. I wouldn't say he's a completely talentless drongo, as some respected rock-stars have done, I'd say he has a remarkable talent for fleecing money from the musically illiterate - "All we like sheep". The emperor has certainly got no clothes on.

BA - you really do take the biscuit! You are perfectly happy to use the bible to back up your points or to agree with points made by people quoting the bible, but anyone uses it to hit back you get all hissy!

In case you haven't sussed yet: I happen to accept the Bible (NT, that is - from which the quote comes), so it is acceptable for me to quote from it. Shaker does not accept it, so his use of quotes is hypocritical. And you are thick, not to appreciate that.

No, I am NOT "thick".
If you use any published article to support an argument you must accept that someone else can use that self-same article against that argument.
You say you accept the bible (NT) - then you must accept it in its entirety, including all its conbtradictions and anomalies, and you cannot only accept those arguments that fit your position.
Ypou have made a statement regarding money which, quite rightly, has been pointed out to be against the bible's teaching. You cannot have it both ways.
If, by my statement, I am "thick", then, by yours, you are "hypocrite".

If you were joking it was abloody feeble joke - and no joke published on an open forum is only between two people no matter how far up themselves one of them is!

"Nathaniel Jesus Scrote p a to Lord Lucifer of Hades." "...no matter how far up themselves one of them is!" You seem to have some sort of obsession with such thoughts.
