Perhaps the FA could also have suggested pink balls

It would be funny if it wasn't so horribly sexist! With all the trouble the FA is in over the sex abuse scandal I think there needs to be a drastic overhaul of the body controlling football, possible ditching the FA all together, and setting up an untainted new one.

So the article includes a screenshot of the equipment recommendations. They are:

Paraphrased because I can't be arsed to retype it, just like the BBC reporter.
All good advice, if you ask me and equally applicable to boys.

  • Allow girls to wear casual clothes
  • Use colourful bibs - make sure they are clean and smell nice
  • Try futsal for beginners
  • Have a selection of footballs of different weights and allow the girls to choose the one they want
  • Provide sweat towels
All good advice, if you ask me and equally applicable to boys.

+1

What I found strange is that the fuss was caused by a sports teacher who lives and works hundreds of miles from the authority who issued the guidance.

Apologies for the mess that I made of that, I am on hand held & will tidy up when I get the chance.

Couldn't the FA be in the forefront of returning pink to its position in this area of society at the start of the last century?   ;)
