Banks was the goalkeeper in 1966 when England won the world cup. I remember watching that match.

They thought it was all over, it is now.

Legend. No gloves, hard as nails.

I've written previously of becoming entranced by the beauty of the game when watching the official film of the 1970 World Cup. It's filled with great moments, and up there with the best, is Banks making that incredible save from Pele. One of the all time great goalkeepers.
