Title: A Nasty Bike Ride
Post by: Steve H on June 23, 2019, 03:28:59 PM
To the hamlet of Nasty, in East Herts, yesterday. I considered taking in Ugley, over the border in Essex, as well, but decided that that was a bit too far. 63.59 miles, 102.33 kms, according to my bike computer (Strava is wrong), so a metric century. Beautiful day - summer seems to have arrived at last.
Photos, (https://flic.kr/s/aHsmEs989z) and the route (https://www.strava.com/routes/19759644) (more or less: I had to input it manually, and probably made some minor errors, hence the distance discrepancy. I must get a Garmin bike GPS, so I can upload the route from it).

Looks like you had a good day, Steve - those are the strangest looking handlebars I've ever seen on a bike.

The whole bike is strange - it's a Copenhagen Pedersen. (https://youtu.be/bQVIqLW00UI)

That is weird - looks like someone left it in front of the fire for too long, and then picked it up by the handlebars so that the frame stretched in a peculiar way.

Mind you, I think having two wheels but no decent-sized engine between them is weirder still.
