Title: St Pauli: The cult German football club that wants to change the game forever

Given the news this week that Barcelona want £355M for Ansu Fati, then some form of change might be good.

The asking price is beyond my vocabulary of negatives and condemnation; aside from any other consideration, a players transfer fee is usually an indication of how much he is likely to get paid per week and that calculation, in this case, come to a figure that is obscene!

I read this article earlier. Even had a mate in my last workplace who was a big St. Pauli fan. Leaving all the political stuff aside, I have for some time fallen out of love with modern football. It epitomises the hypercapitalist world that surrounds it. Give me 70's and 80's football any day. Relegation wasn't necessarily a disaster, they played on proper pitches in proper grounds, and loyalty often trumped money.

I think £355 million is basically Barcelona saying "he's not for sale".
