Nice little article on batters suggested as being possibly better than Bradman.

Obviously way, way too early to tell but Harry Brook's start to his test career has been little short of astonishing.

Yes, I suspect it was Brook's performances which meant this popped up on my timeline.

Nice stat I've just seen.

Brook has played 9 innings in tests so far (his 9th is still in progress). No other player in test history has scored more runs after 9 innings. He currently has 807 runs - that may increase as he resumes this evening our time. The previous record was 798 runs in 9 innings.

Another potential milestone would be fewest innings to achieve 1000 runs in tests. Currently that stands at 12.

I would be very interested in his strike rate comparison against those with similar records as I suspect it's off the scale.

Brooks average is just under 90 at the moment. If he can maintain that (he probably won't against Australia) for the next eleven innings, he'll rank in second place in the ESPN list of test batsmen (https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/records/282910.html). In fact, he'll be above third by quite some margin.
