This feels oddly like the question of Biden's fitness for office. The amount of bad publicity, combined with the image of Strictly as such a feel good positive show, brings onto doubt that image. I'm not sure it can be this questionable, and successful.

In a way that it is being taken this seriously is part of the problem. It may be that people will feel that the actions taken are sufficient to allow them to watch with no discomfort but that the Director General is talking about it may be difficult to forget. If at the time of the show there are ongoing legal actions then its image will be constantly in question.
