Never heard of him.

Never heard of him.
You're welcome.

I'm sure his family and friends will miss him - but having read the bio you posted: it seems he's an evolution-denying YEC, so I doubt that he is a great loss to Christianity.

"He believed the Bible teaches a completely restored Israel shall inherit physical ownership of the land of Canaan on the earth." :(

That ort of fundy bollocks is why most conservative evangelicals are uncritical supporters of Israel. Their constant invocation of the holocaust, whataboutery and distortion of modern history are just fronts, because they know that fundy bollocks does not convince.

You almost seem a bit puzzled at why somebody should bring up a controversial Christian churchman on a Christianity message board.
I've never been a big fan of Macarthur but evolution aside at another level I think you two would have got on.

Why is that?
If God had left the earth to form by itself., what stage of creation would we be at now?
He created a mature earth and all animals and mankind to be adult. Well it would be no point trying to put babies on gases would there?
If God can create a whole universe in 6 days then why can you not believe your evolution impossible? No new creation from nothing in how many years. That's right evolution stopped didn't it.
We can make up many things but evolution more impossible than creation.

Putting to one side the 'Creator God' nonsense, the reality is that evolution hasn't stopped: the issue of antibiotic resistance in bacteria is but one example of evolution is action today.

What nonsense. Evolution by Natural Selection is a very well supported scientific theory whereas there is no evidence for creation of a mature Earth. Evolution is not about 'creation' anyway but about change - which is why you are totally wrong to say evolution has stopped.
