Title: My 30-year-old world record 'not a good sign for athletics' - Edwards

I was talking elsewhere recently about my favourite athletics performances, and this by Edwards was amongst them. I'm not sure if athletics is in any worse position in terms of rewards that it was in 1995, and there are many areas in which records are being broken.
