Title: MSP Jeremy Balfour resigns from Tories over 'reactionary politics'
Post by: Nearly Sane on August 22, 2025, 10:10:16 AM
Both the Tory MSPs whose have resigned the whip have done it because they see the Tories moving to the right, meanwhile Reform look to be taking the votes that might be gained there. With the PR system in place, it's unlikely that the Tories would be wiped out but could they be 6th largest party after next year's elections?  (Note I'm assuming there that Your (insert name here) Party won't quite be in place in the time though who knows)

It's a bit like resigning from the National Secular Society over its atheism.

And an ex Labour Glasgow councillor moves to Reform. I really need Mike Read to shout Runaround Niw to get the proper atmosphere
