I do hope his political opponents make hay with this - he should be teased relentlessly every time he tries to promote himself, which is all the time.
Adult swans, and especially the ones who live on nearby Kilmardinny Loch, are nasty bastards: they hiss noisily and aggressively whenever anyone gets too close to them - just like Nigel.

The problem is that there is a certain amount of talking absolute bollocks built into the brand. His supporters will see it either as 'well, they would say that' from the Royal Parks to him saying something that is symbolically true. Given that many see all politicians as liars, then Farage isn't any worse than them, and they thi know he comes across as a good laugh. To be fair, it's not helped by the amount of bollocks a lot of other politicians come out with.

Apparently there is 15 year old video of an RSPCA officer finding a family with an unidentified bird in a pot that may have been a swan but yes, that has given Farage the opportunity to mimic Trump
