Now back in captivity.

However, we are regaining our ability to outperform the French at farce, although the recent Louvre contretemps means we've got to up our game to stay ahead in the Brian Rix Stakes.

Any such mistakes like this new one are going to get a lot more publicity. As on the mini marts thread, most of this is a result of the 14 years of disastrous Tory govt, and they have a cheek to say anything about it.

I had missed PMQs till watching the questions on the news. It does seem as per the article that Lammy handled it not as well as he might in part because of not knowing the full circs. The Tory questioning while both hypocritical and technically wrong in its implication highlights that the public won't see much difference between an asylum seeker and someone who " arrived here legally but then stayed after his visa expired" in terms of this.
