War Grave vandalism

Accordng to a news reort I heard earlier, the Met's response to this was that it was 'wrong'.  Would people go beyond that, or do you think that the Met were right in understating their reaction in this way?

I would say it was very sick as well as wrong. I hope they catch the scum who did it and make them clean up their mess before giving them a stiff custodial sentence!

How much wailing and hand-wringing were they supposed to do to indicate a suitable degree of wrongitudeness?
