50 Year Old Theory on Schizophrenia's 'Voices'Confirmed by Recent Study

In some threads with Alan Burns, I have wondered and posted thar my internal experience do not seem to map to his, and that it does not feel unitary in hete. I wonder if there is a further tweak to the idea in the article where you can be aware that different voices are still perceived as internal but seen as seperate.

It was a suprise to me in my later years to realise that not everyone had an inner voice. It's an interesting article. If true I wonder if it would be possible to attenuate that portion of the brain for schizophrenics.

Yes, that was the same for me when I found out. I suspect that we make  a lot of assumptions about how similar we are. I was the same when I found out people don't see pictures when they think of things. And as I have mentioned previously I am mildly synaesthetic, though I do wonder whether that is more widespread than we think.
