The Irish actor Frank Kelly has died aged 77 - though a distinguished actor with a long career, said career will always be dominated by his unforgettable performance as Father Jack Hackett in Father Ted:

I watched 2 episodes of Father Ted last night, including the one where the plane is in trouble and Father Jack steals the only two parachutes: one for himself and one for the drinks trolley.

I've only seen a single episode of Father Ted, so am not even sure who Father Jasck looks like.  However, for yet another well-known actor to depart this life is a very sad event.  Rest in Peace.
