The scale of the fires is hard to grasp but I've visited the Bunny Museum, it was very odd, and met the owners who are quoted here. Makes it feel much closer

Lots of fantastically wild conspiracy stuff on the fires on social media. Apparently the Palisades are buildings we're targeted by a weapon on behalf of the World Economic Forum to create the possibility of buying up land on the cheap, and you can tell that because while buildings have been destroyed trees have survived. This is a proper Mitchell and Webb sketch where you have them sitting around realising that it would be easier to just cause a massive fire that destroyed everything rather than developing a weapon that targets buildings while causing fires that look like they might destroy buildings but don't.
