The point is I think Raducanu is a young woman, you see her as a quiz answer.
Of course she is a young woman - what a pointless comment. The issue regarding a quiz question is that unless she overcomes her ongoing injuries her career may well be incredibly short involving a single astonishing achievement, with nothing before or since. Pub quizzes love one hit wonders. She runs the risk of being a startlingly one hit wonder ... err, like Shaun Micheel (yup, I'd never heard of him either - yet he won the golf PGA championship in 2003 without ever winning another PGA nor European title before or since).
No idea as to the answer.
See above.
So what?
Interesting whether when I mentioned Shaun Micheel whether you went 'doh, of course, yup I remember his incredible achievement' - or maybe like me went 'nope, never heard of him'.
Does that make Raducanu's achievement any less?
No more nor less than a range of other sports people who rose without trace, won something huge, then disappeared again (noting this is speculation that Raducanu is unable to restart her career due to the ongoing injuries).
Does it make what she has gone through any less?
I think a lot of young professional sports people get a lot of grief these days and probably worse than in the past due to social media. However I think the issues most likely to curtail Radacanu's career are physical injuries.
