The conflict between Israel and Iran is getting worse and worse. Hopefully both sides will see sense before the situation is totally out of control.

I admire your optimism, but we are talking about Netanyahu and Iran. I fear no good will come of this.

No tears for Iran. It can do one as far as I'm concerned.

  • God? She's black.
Israel is clearly a theofascist, warmongering rogue state. Why are Western democracies still defending it?

Because they perceive the alternatives as being worse options is my best guess.

Sobering read:

Yeah I'm with the ordinary people of Iran - given Ali Khamenei's support for police brutality against Iranian protestors, a lot of Iranians may be happy that the key Iranian leaders have been killed.

Israel's missile strikes into Iran seems even more reason for any future leaders of Iran to pursue nuclear weapons unless they want to become like Libya or Iraq and be at the mercy of regime-change by the US and its allies.

Quite handy with weapons - available for hire to defeat money laundering crooks around the world.

The thing that comes across there is the utter weariness of the people.

My thoughts so far are:
I understand that the Iranian regime is oppressive, but  if they are standing firm against Israeli/US aggression does that help the Palestinians in Gaza?

"Israeli hospital suffers 'extensive damage' from Iranian missile strike" -  i have a feeling that Trump may talk/post about this as a turning point in what he decides to do.

Iran could agree to stop uranium enrichment on the condition that Israel/US agrees to a two- state solution.

And US bombs Iran

What you would expect of that idiot Trump. I bet he hasn't properly considered what action Iran might take in response!

The calculation is that Israel through their actions over the last two years have sufficiently degraded Iran's capability to resist. Given Trump is better informed on this than either you or I, then I would guess he has been taken into account what their possible actions are, and he thinks it's worth it.
