Surely this is a classic piece of post hoc ergo propter approach. It's not the missing in the first week itself that is the likely cause but rather the cause of the first week absence, which may be many and varied. I get tgat it's a sort of catch all idea bases around 'nudging' behaviour but it cones across as simplistic and crass.
