Finally looking like this is ready for release, hopefully by the end of the month. The screenshots from Fireproof look stunning.

The Room and The Room 2 are my two favourite iPad games. I can hardly wait.

I know, I've been checking their FB page all through the summer for updates. Looks like it's finally on its way - can't wait either.

No, you need to go to the Fireproof Games website - there's an App Store button at the bottom.

Here.

I haven't a clue what on earth it is so I won't - still posting here for me  :)

It's a series of three very atmospheric, quite gothic puzzle apps. Visually they are stunning - mentally they are challenging. There's a narrative straight out of the early sci fi/horror writing from the turn of the last century.

The Room 3's the last one, sadly.

Did you ever play Portal Rhiannon? I'm not sure what platform you have but I think you said you played Star Wars battlefront? If that is on the Xbox 360 then I can not reccomend Portal 2 highly enough. The first game was a sort of mini freebie that came with the half life two compilation called The Orange Box. Portal 2 is a stand alone game. It's a first person puzzler using physics and lateral thinking set in a dystopian and incredibly witty sci-fi research bunker.

Example. The psychotic A.I. Tries to tempt you to complete lethal tests with offers of cake.

Buy it. You will not regret it.
A lot of people don't believe that the loch ness monster exists. Now, I don't know anything about zooology, biology, geology, herpetology, evolutionary theory, evolutionary biology, marine biology, cryptozoology, palaeontology or archaeology... but I think... what if a dinosaur got into the lake?

Brilliant! So, in addition to Portal 2, download a game called Braid from the xbox online game store, if you can. Again a puzzler but a platform one involving time manipulation. Each set of puzzles is set in a context of how we perceive and relate to time. It is profound, beautiful and deeply philosophical and the closest a game can get to art, in my opinion.

Braid and Portal 2 represent two of my most memorable and valued gaming experiences.

Sorry, going off on one now, but Ghostbusters is also really, really fun! ... I'll leave it there. Promise.

If you end up playing either of those games do let me know what you think!

A lot of the new games have their special features only on XBox 1.

Enjoy.  :)
