He did well to live so long. I enjoyed his programmes when I was younger, and young. There was one on the radio at weekends, I think it was called, ''Family Favourites'', and he hosted it with his wife, Jean Metcalf; I remember listening to that with my parents, we were always sitting around the table when it was on so it was probably lunch time. Then there was a 'Tea time' programme on TV, similar I suppose to 'The One Show', which featured Cy Grant, a musical theatre star who always did a calypso rounding the programme off (he lived to 90!). Cliff Michelmore was quite an engaging character, very popular.
