Good bye wee man and thank you for the Laughter and the fact that Argyll jumpers were okay, well okay in a certain sense of okay. ;)

I will now read posts very carefully and then using the two God given brains cells that I have reply as if I am talking to a two year old, yes that should suffice as a gentle reminder✝️✝️✝️❤️

Pain, or damage, don't end the world. Or despair, or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man, and give some back. - Al Swearengen, Deadwood.

There was also a sketch show of the same name.

We agree on something, Len. ;)

So sad, but I suppose the best has to come to an end at some point. :-(

It's goodnight from him.   Lovely man, he will be missed by us all - most of all by his lovely (big) wife whom he looked after so well following her illness, and his children.  He had a long life and a good one by all accounts.
Let us profit by what every day and hour teaches us

Someone has posted the whole 2 and half minute 'Fork Handles' sketch on facebook.  Can't for the life of me remember when I last saw the whole thing - so often its just been the 'fork handles' bit that is played.

Radio 4 PM played one of his to-camera armchair monologues in full yesterday evening and the man's talent shone.  Not that the text of his monologue was remarkable, but it was his delivery, the effortless impeccable timing and nuanced inflections of voice that could turn average material into something hilarious and engaging wherein his genius lay. In a comedy world where outrageous and controversial makes the running, we still need gentle talents such as his.

Sadly it turns out that Ronnie had motor neurone disease, a fact known only to family and a few close friends until now: http://goo.gl/Tk4Mhl
