I thin it is good that we are increasingly seeing a move toward just as many women as men in top political positions as being completely normal, no longer worthy of remark.

So the notion that come the autumn 3 out of the five major legislative governments in the UK will be lead by women seems to be a subject of merely a matter of no more than cursory interest rather than some kind of major deal.

That's good as far as I can see as it creates a notion of equal normality of there being a male or a female leader.
'Notion of equal normality'.  It's interesting to notice that Obama's Presidency has seen no improvement in the conditions of the Black American population. If anything, his role has acted as a way of disguising the problem.
Are your, or your friends'/relatives', garages, lofts or sheds full of unused DIY gear, sewing/knitting machines or fabric and haberdashery stuff?

That is very true.  It's a great pity.  Obama seems to have been absorbed into the walls of the White House, no-one thinks of him as a black man any more.  Except of course for particularly racist areas where little changes.
Ah well.
Let us profit by what every day and hour teaches us

Going off the point, what is the hand picking away at in your avatar, Splashcuba?  Looks like making a hole in plaster.
LOL, not quite. It's someone placing their hand on a small hold on a rock face. It's a climbing thing.
I have an infinite number of belief systems cos there are an infinite number of things I don't believe in.

I respect your right to believe whatever you want. I don't have to respect your beliefs.

Yeah! Go girls!

They can't make as big a mess as the boys, IMO   ;)
Reminds me of that age old philosophical question:  If a man was in a forest talking out loud and there were no women to hear him, would he still be wrong?  ;)
