My niece and her son are doing it with their phones. What really is the point>?

...to have some fun and enjoy themselves?
Did it work so far?

I can't see the point but it's harmless. I can imagine children, of an age to be allowed out with friends of course, not little ones, finding it fun for a while.  Just a fad.

Its mainly young Adults Brownie, who as children played with the Pokémon cards and collected them.

They are in their twenties now.

I have been giving it a go in my lunch hour, it uses up some spare time and I get some exercise :D

I only grew older, i've never really grown up though.

I also play computer games like Dragon Inquisition and the Witcher

Age is just a physical thing, I love playing.

At least Pokémon go involves some exercise :)

Growing old is inevitable - growing up is optional - if you haven't grown up by the time you reach 50, don't bother!

My daughter (22) collects Pokemon cards and I (70 going on 18) collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards - 15,000 plus at te last count!

Some good news about Pokemon go

Quote

Pokemon Go 'transformed teenager's life'
A mobile phone game that has caught the attention of the world also appears to have caused a breakthrough with autism sufferers.
Pokémon Go, released in the UK in earlier this month, is played by users walking around the real world to catch virtual Pokémon animals.
It appears the game's mix of real and virtual reality has helped to break down many of the social barriers autistic people feel when they are out in public.

Growing up is such a bore.

If you haven't grown up by the time you are 50, don't bother, it's not worth the effort!

Sitting in the pub playing Yu-Gi-Oh with my 22 year old daughter and her boy-friend to the disapproving stares of people half my age is a blast!

Welcome back btw  :)

Thanks, but I am not sure how long my return is going to last - or if I will pull out or get pushed out. Some of the matters that caused my abscence show no signs whatsoever of changing and whilst I see my comments on those matters in one light others see them entirely differently.

Time will tell.
