I remember Mrs Mangel from years ago when kids watched Neighbours & Home and Away avidly. She was quite a character iirc, was someone's aunt and had a not so nice sister. A good neighbour, old fashioned but kind and sensible, someone you'd rely on. Of course that was the character played by Vivan Gray but she was very believable.
The death of Ken Barrie was mentioned on the news, he was a great Postman Pat and I loved the programme. We named our 16 year old cat after his black and white one! Jess - (only ours is Jessica).
