Totally non PC songs
« on: November 29, 2016, 03:09:12 PM »
OK I will kick off with one from Canadian band "Rough Trade". Nobody cared in 1980 about Cathy Pope's lesbian opus. Today there would be a conflict of interest about banning a song just because it is about lesbian desires, and those who don't want songs about schoolkids having sexual thoughts.

Leaving aside songs by un-PC people, like Rolf Harris, one that comes to mind is this one - which I recall being a regular on Children's Favourites in the early 60's.

I suppose comedy records are prime candidates given changing tastes: such as Benny Hill's truly awful 'Ernie'

Always rather fond of Fascinating Aida in this area, and as Christmas is approaching I offer you this:

If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. - God is Love.

Love it - how they got to the end without collapsing in laughter is a wonder to behold.

Some serious points in there too.

How to offend unionists, monarchists and Orangemen in one easy lesson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zpk5FYeaDM
"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

There is of course Rolf's song "I've lost my mummy" I am not going to post it here because it is bad taste.

Dear Sane,

No fracking Trident :P :P I luv it, I'am voting Jeremy Corbyn  :) and the guy has some cool initials. :P

Gonnagle.
I will now read posts very carefully and then using the two God given brains cells that I have reply as if I am talking to a two year old, yes that should suffice as a gentle reminder✝️✝️✝️❤️

And there's more. (The problem with voting for Corbyn if you don't want Trident is that it isn't Labour policy to get rid of it, and it's the policy of Scottish Labour, as far as such a thing exists, to keep it.)

They took the best part of the song- the tune, and added some lyrics even worse than the original.

The ladies do manage an effective Bananarama type sound.
