Andrew Sachs, RIP
« on: December 01, 2016, 11:36:21 PM »
"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

Heard the news this morning.  Part of me is sad that he isn't remembered for some of his non-FT performances, but he will be missed by so many for both his humour and his poise in the face of problems.

Finally, how did the family keep the news of his death last week quiet in a world that is so news orientated?

Sachs was very amusing in 'Fawlty Towers'.

Stop being rude to twats, JK.   ;)

Long time ago, Jack.  They did their time and were forgiven.
(At the time it reminded me of two kids egging eachother on, talking 'rude' while the grown ups were out.)

It was nice to see Andrew Sach's son, John, on the news earlier, talking about his dad.
