Oh no  :(

One of the greatest actors these isles have produced. At a great age to boot, I admit. But even so ... shit  >:(

Tim to his nearest and dearest, btw*, Timothy being his first (of several) given names.

* Like his old chum Richard Burton.

Pain, or damage, don't end the world. Or despair, or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man, and give some back. - Al Swearengen, Deadwood.

Agreed, my first memory of him was as Dudley in Elizabeth R where he was magnetic, as in so much. A rare ability to play bumptious and humane, which obviously suited Siegfried Farnon as a role, and of course, his many Churchills.

I remember Robert Hardy best in 'All Creatures Great and Small'. I was surprised he was only 91.
