Mary Tyler Moore along with Dick Van Dyke contributed, for me, to a childhood idyll of early evening TV along with Greenacres, Bewitched etc.
Entertaining in the seventees twirling and throwing that bonnet into the air and TV showings of Thoroughly Modern Millie. She was, I understand, thoroughly Modern for being one of the first major female TV executives.

 A breath of fresh air and a popular actress.  Sad how we hear nothing about them till their death,  :'(
