There is an almost febrile attitude in some comments elsewhere as people wait to declare the motive as a 'win' for their preconceptions.

Terribly sad news.

It’s looking like anyone with a grudge who can’t get a gun will use a truck instead if they want a killing spree. Rumour has it that this was motivated by misogyny but that could be as a result of a FB hack.

I'd agree.

A rush to judgment seems to be the order of the day now, unfortunately.
If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. - God is Love.

It's not just the rush to judgemebt, it's an 'recipient's that the judgement proves what you think to be correct. There's an element of it in the Remain camp on Brexit who seize bad news on the economy as if it is a good thing just to be proven right. The van attack has had people get excited on Twitter that the murderer seemed Middle Eastern, and that he might be an incel. Each side desperate to say 'I told you so'.

Same has been the case with Alfie Evans - it's about being right and tribal not about what would be the best outcome.

I watched the film footage of the officer confronting the suspect and the way he handled it was very impressive indeed, imo. I reckon the guy would be dead if this had happened over the border!

I hear on the PM programme that he was on something called INCEL which stands for involuntary celibate. sounds like a really sleazy web site where young men who feel they have a right to sex and that women ar to blame. Well, I for one, do not wish to know any more.
