Is baldness a disease
« on: May 09, 2018, 01:33:58 PM »
Cure for baldness found

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/health/mindandbody/could-a-cure-for-male-pattern-baldness-be-on-the-horizon/ar-AAwZLno?ocid=spartanntp

Or is baldness even a disease.
Apart from Old Gadgees for whom wigs are still an option, who even has a full head of hair who hasn't had it shaved off.

This chemical is surely not  a medicine but hair growth is part of the side effects of chemical ingestion surely?

I'm conflicted.

I'd like my hair back but then I'd have the hassle of getting somebody to cut it whereas at the moment I just run the electric hair trimmer over it to keep the stubble in check.

No it is not a disease, by the way, at least not on most men.

I don't understand why some men shave all their hair off when they don't have a problem with baldness, I don't think it enhances their appearance. Having said that I think comb overs are horrible and it is far better to go bald gracefully. I told my husband we would be down the divorce court if he ever opted for one.  ;D

You can always tell how 'ashamed' a fella is of his baldy head by how big the beard is !??!!?

Ranges from none at all - happy with it, to full beard & tache & getting bigger month by month, being REALLY ashamed !!!

I can't grow it upstairs but I still can downstairs so I'm STILL a man ?!?!!??
Check it out everywhere you go....

Beards can look good but bearded men tend to be mistaken for eachother even if not really alike, beard and glasses combination even more so.

My husband had a beard for a while about 20 years ago, I was glad when he saved it off. I dislike the look of them and don't think they are hygienic.

Do you think? Can’t say I’ve found it a thing, except when watching Cadfael, but I think that was largely down to the lighting.

My bloke uses something called ‘soap’. Seems to do the job.

That is, of course, the ideal combination  ;)

No, this means that they are a hipster. Watch them closely and you’ll see them eating in restaurants that serve salads on a trowel.

Plenty of those around!

Keeps a bald head warm in winter and protects from the sun in hot.

I went out with a bald guy last winter who always wore a hat, indoors and out. I couldn’t decide if it was because he was self conscious or just freezing cold all the time.

As soon as I realised my hair was thinning a bit (the swirly bit at the top of the head) I shaved it all off. The only way to do it, in my opinion. Nothing sadder than seeing men cling on to the last strands of hair.
