We should have pulled out of this years ago and now we've got an excuse.

I didn't see it, saw no TV at all this evening, went out. Was it really that bad? I gather Israel won.
It's not a programme I enjoy, haven't watched it for years.

The UK performance was disrupted when a man with a rucksack invaded the stage and took the microphone from the singer. He is now in police custody.

We don't need an excuse, but if you're referring to Bwrecksit, that is irrelevant. Eurovision has nothing to do with the EU, and not much to do even with Europe: Israel and Australia have both competed, and I think Indonesia did once, as well.

You can find it on the BBC website under "News".

For about 40 minutes I had the Eurovision Song Contest on tv. I was not actually watching it but was doing other things while in the same room. At no time did any song really attract my attention - there seemed to be a mediocre sameness about all the items (but perhaps someone will point out that I am wrong).

In the end I decided that similar forces to those which have created the mindless phenomenon known as "social media" have affected the popular music industry - a kind of intellectual dumbing down - or at least a trend towards a state of cultural homogeneity. So I switched it off.

But then, I'm from a different generation ...

Not referring to Bwexit but the obvious lack of security at Eurovision.
This year a twat in a bandana and rucksack, last year a streaking Australian albeit unarmed apart from his beef bayonet.

We should have checked out when Wogan resigned his annual slot. Even  Norton now fails to harvest much joy from the wretched affair. Let's ditch it.

Goodness knows why that stupid contest, which goes from very bad to even worse, wasn't ditched many years ago.

My husband, who likes classical music, wouldn't have our TV screen polluted by it.

I get the feeling that the judges and viewers thought it was all part of an act and penalised the UK for including the word ''Nazi'' in the lyrics.
Of the audience and broadcasters involved most seemed out of it and the score givers from the continent looked and sounded as though they had been drugged and brainwashed to ''Lurve Eurovision''.

A true rocky horror.
We should leave Eurovision and Bwexiter MP Michael Fabric*nt would agree.

Some of you are right fucking killjoys. I enjoy it. Its one night a year. Its harmless, ridiculous nonsense that occasionally produces good songs and performances. Germany's entry was pretty decent, and Lithuania's was entertaining in a strange way. Meanwhile for satan knows how many Saturday's of the year I am subjected to what is  referred to as premiership football. Now you may not be aware of this but there is a strange contraption called a remote control that usually comes with your tv. You can us this to change channels and find other programmes. Thats what I do when football appears. I suggest you do the same for the one night a year Eurovision is on. Go on try it you might catch a rerun of Triangle.

I repeat its one fucking night a year. Leave it alone.

I didn't see it this year, but I did watch it last year with some friends. Have a beer or two and get into the spirit and it can be quite an entertaining night. I wouldn't watch it on my own but I wouldn't dream of stopping it.

My girls cleared their schedule to watch it. It’s no longer ironic to like Eurovision, it’s cool. People have actually discovered that having meaningless fun is cool. Imagine.

If the Eurovision Song Contest was indescribably underwhelming that could not be said of the three teenage musicians who took part
