Jeremy Clarkson?

You're just plain weird.

Idris Elba.

I’ve thought a lot about this. James Bond is a character with a certain back story. He is very much part of the British establishment and is a product of the public education system etc.

I think, if you had a black actor play him, it would necessarily change the character which is not necessarily a bad thing but why call the character “James Bond”? In fact, why do we assume that the ambitions of great black actors like Idria Elba are limited to playing recycled white characters? Might he not find it a little bit patronising?

Anyway, I’d definitely watch him if we did take on the role. Also, I think he’d make a great Doctor Who.

  • God? She's black.
I came to realise that every time we recognise something human in creatures, we are also recognising something creaturely in ourselves. That is central to the rejection of human supremacism as the pernicious doctrine it is.

Jason Statham...Offered before but was already committed to another movie. Maybe it is time to ask again.  Matt Bomer is great eye-candy... Jason Statham had the rugged looks like Sean Connery and Matt Bomer the pretty face like Roger Moore.    Both will shake and stir in the role.

Richard Madden is creeping up the bookies favourites charts.

leaving the JB franchise aside, I watched a film the other day which, I think, would make a great franchise. Take a look and let me know what you think.
