I would not be enthusiastic about shaking the hand of any tory, but a hand-shake does not express agreement, and refusing to is very rude.
I came to realise that every time we recognise something human in creatures, we are also recognising something creaturely in ourselves. That is central to the rejection of human supremacism as the pernicious doctrine it is.

I might have some sympathy for the Saj if he hadn't done the whole working class schtick here - just being the son of a bus driver doesn't stop you being a dick.

Perhaps it is, but it's - at least from Grant's point of view - a continuation of prior rude behaviour that Javid initiated.  What goes around comes around?
