Has anyone read this? I have it as my current braille book. It had a lively start, but soon got bogged down in a series of, to me, long boring anecdotes about various characters on the person's travels and is like wading through cottonwool. The characters are colourless, cardboard ones and the supposed main character of the book, a girl who sets out to find the places depicted in the postcards, hasn't appeared since the very beginning. With braille books, it is not possible to glance ahead and see what one can miss out, so any information will be helpful. I like to read braille every day, but only if it is worth wading through will I continue with this one!
I have just phoned the NLB Librarian and she is sending me another non-fiction which sounds interesting.
