Even if you are not a fan of country music, it's another brilliant series produced by Ken Burns

There was one major missing singer for me which was Glen Campbell.

the one I was most impressed with was Dolly Parton , I didn't really know much about her 😎

That she is!

I watched about half early this morning, really enjoyed the programme. Good to see Charlie Pride - who sold more records than Elvis. I'll see the rest at a different time(maybe tomorrow).  I am glad NS posted the link, don't know how I missed the programme.

Agree with NS aboutthe omission of Glen Campbell - he may figure in later episodes and I intend to watch all.

Did people hear/see the programme about Woodie Guthrie not long ago (BBC4)? I enjoyed it and learned a lot, glad he changed his views as time went on (mature people are not afraid to change their opinions and admit them).

Anyway, off to work in a bit but quite byoyed up by right now by C&W.I recommend to all.

i noticed the Cash family featured heavily in the last episode ,
Not that I mind but he could have had all the episodes to himself 😎
