televised church services

Following the closure of our churches, I admit to being very sceptical about the value of televised services.  But you can never underestimate the power of the Holy Spirit.  My wife and I were both moved to tears while watching a Mass broadcast recently from the "word on fire" web site.  We both felt the srong spiritual presence which gave us hope and faith that all will be well, and God can work for the good in all things.  Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
The truth will set you free  - John 8:32
Truth is not an abstraction, but a person - Edith Stein
Free Will is the highest truth about humanity - GK Chesterton
Remove grace, and you have nothing whereby to be saved. Remove free will and you have nothing that could be saved."

Here, there's a live reflection service each Sunday morning hosted jointly by an RC priest and a Church of Scotland minister ( thepeople hosting it are different each week) I found it reflective and inspiring, and also a great plug for the ecumenical movement. You can find the first two on BBC1 Scotland on iplayer. Immediately afterward, my own minister broadcasts a sermon on our facebook page.
"The rose of all the world is not for me.
I want, for my part only the little white rose of Scotland,
that smells sharp and sweet and breaks the heart."

My church has live-streamed a communion service on Facebook for the last two Sundays: not a patch on the real thing, but better than nothing.

A Palm Sunday walk in my home island of Guernsey.

I thought you might find this interesting.

Very nice.
It'll be a rather odd Palm Sunday and Easter this year.

My vicar daughter and her aunt, the Anglican priest featured in the video, will certainly find it strange doing all their Easter services on-line.

I informed my Baby Sister she is now famous, as her video has been screened on forums as well as other places on-line. She will no doubt expect to be made Archbishop soon! ;D
