It seems he was given a shove by his puppet masters in Westminster.
Rumour is that Davidson will front the Tories in Holyrood whilst Ross seeks election - sorry - is shoehorned into the leadership, and will stand for Holyrood in 2021.
This, of course, totally bypasses the nonentity who presently acts as the Scottish Tories deputy leader....so much for Scottish Tory autonomy, then.

And we are to be graced by the presence of Douglas Ross as leader. He will retain his WM seat as the Tories have no interest in holding a by election in Moray.
