Judicial Reviews - a Help or Hindrance to Democracy?

Any thoughts on this proposed latest move. Is it reasonable for a government to limit the scope of judicial reviews to allow for more smooth flowing government, or is it the removal of one of the necessary checks on power?

I think I'll wait until I see what the review comes up with. At the moment, the government can ignore the results of a judicial review if it chooses. It would be great to see that tightened up.

Also, who hasn't found their ability to operate effectively unduly hampered by the law? I welcome any move to make it so we can ignore it at times...
