Because “ we value our members comfort above all else”.

Has Dawkins made stronger attacks on the whole of Islam than other religions? After all, there are quite a few Muslim scientists who do firmly believe in evolution. Historically of course, Islam's contribution to many of the sciences has been rather more impressive than Christianity's.
Is this a first step towards book burning?
Finally, although I have many reservations about certain aspects of Dawkins' thought (not his science), it's a bit much to see him mentioned in the same context as Nigel bleeding Farage.

I am not going to try and read all the ins and outs of this, but it sounds to me like a bit too much tip-toeing round over-sensitive egos.

That's very much my take on it, Susan.

Am I right in thinking that this is Trinity College Dublin?

So it is not a British university, then.
Does Magna Carta mean nothing to you? Did she die in vain?

Yes, it is TCD. No one has said that it was a British university

On a point of pedantry: "Britain" is synonymous with "The British Isles", which includes the whole of Ireland, North and South.
I came to realise that every time we recognise something human in creatures, we are also recognising something creaturely in ourselves. That is central to the rejection of human supremacism as the pernicious doctrine it is.

No it isn't - that is the British Isles, not Britain - the two are not synonymous. Britain is synonymous with Great Britain, the largest island of the British Isles, the one that contains England, Scotland and Wales.
