   A Genius!
The Holy Bible, probably the most diabolical work of fiction ever to be visited upon mankind.

An it harm none, do what you will; an it harm some, do what you must!

Love Heath Robinson. I've got a book of his railway-themed cartoons called 'Railway Ribaldry', which I bought in the 70s, and which is a facsimile of a book from the 30s, and 'Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales', published by the Folio Society, a facsimile of a volume published before WW1, with illustrations by him: his serious illustrations for books such as that are gorgeous.
I came to realise that every time we recognise something human in creatures, we are also recognising something creaturely in ourselves. That is central to the rejection of human supremacism as the pernicious doctrine it is.

Somewhere in the storage unit still to be moved into my new home, I have his First and Second World War books which were gifted to me just prior to my moving and I have yet to read.

I seem to remember, going back a fair way, an article by one of the gentleman's fans who, with a couple of friends, had created one or two his inventions and shown that they would actually have worked.
