Isn't dead, I hasten to add, but those familiar with his work might enjoy this interview with him in today's Guardian regarding his slow recover from Covid.

I've always enjoyed his Word of Mouth podcast on the use of language, which is continuing in his absence, and hopefully he'll return to this is due course - well worth a listen (and available on most podcast apps).
